Challenge

A packaging manufacturer in Thailand specialized in LLDPE and PE film production required an extra-wide flexographic printing solution with a printing width of 1,800 mm and a production speed of 150 m/min. The customer had previously experienced issues with color fading and poor ink adhesion on printed films, which affected product quality and customer satisfaction.

Solution

We provided a customized 1,800 mm stack flexographic printing machine integrated into the customer's existing blown film, printing, and laminating production process.

To improve print adhesion, we equipped the printing line with a corona treatment system before printing. At the same time, after evaluating the customer's production workflow, we recommended installing corona treatment directly in the blown film stage. This approach allowed the customer to achieve the required surface tension with lower power consumption and lower equipment investment compared to installing a higher-power system on the printing line.
